Outrage and the insults you mention are largely used by lefty’s to establish control from their supposed moral high ground. You’ve got to forgive them it is after all the best they can do.
It does get tiring and exhausting to have to deal with ignorant people. But someone calls you a Nazi for disagreeing with what is in vogue, simply ask them to discuss what nazism was during the 1920s-1940s and ask them for specific examples; very likely you will not get any and be yelled at some more. This is one of the end results of the decimation of history education in the west in favor of “social studies,” no one even knows what real Nazis did and how they have mostly nothing to do with the squabbles in America today. It does cheapen the words and makes people just shrug their shoulders instead of take a serious look at the accusations. The moral of the story is that people need to educate themselves because schools and social media won’t do it for you. When someone calls you a Nazi or one of the “isms,” just walk away and pity them, that’s all you can do for the most part; you can’t save them, they have to save themselves.
Don't get me incorrectly wrong, but does this mean when you get furious we can call you Sue Perkins? Love you really😘
Redundantly useless adjectives are like reading a thesaurus🙄
However, I used to love playing the game with my BFF, which was to think up redundant adjectives, like: freezing ice, livid anger, dead corpse, noiseless silence and this new one, which I am sure I will get in big trouble with Mr. Foster, Slutty Only fans model🤭. And I am sure I am going be serverely punished for this one, fornicating coitus off!
Oh just great FF! Now I am going to be up all night thinking about this. This just makes me lesbian😡!
Thanks, Francis, for putting truth to paper. I've been problematic since the second grade.
After the Civil War, our shared purpose was to unite a desperately fractured Republic. We made Army bases with Confederate soldiers' names; we honored all sides who had striven for what they believed was the best for the country.
Maybe today isn't dissimilar--I'm working on finding things left and right can unite about/upon.
I'll start with this: our administration brought home last night a citizen imprisoned in Russia. (To say the imprisonment was illegitimate would be redundant; this is Russia.)
This article has two videos in it that testify to the greatness of our country, and how, regardless of political beliefs, we might unite over a beautiful, human moment. (His mom is 95 and a firecracker, from what I've heard.)
You claim words have lost their meaning, yet you downplay the resurgence of actual fascism. The AfD isn’t just a party people unfairly label "Nazi", it’s been classified as "securely far-right extremist" by Germany’s own intelligence services, and even other nationalist groups consider it too extreme. So when Musk makes a public gesture that resembles a salute, then attends and speaks at an AfD event days later, it’s not just misinterpretation.
Deflecting with "everyone gets called a Nazi these days" ignores the real danger of normalising extremist rhetoric. No, not every Trump or Musk supporter is a Nazi, but powerful figures aligning themselves with openly fascist movements have consequences.
Your comments on autism are also particularly discrediting. Conflating social awkwardness with Musk being accused of Nazi-like behaviour is not only a lazy defence but also insulting to autistic people, who, by the way, are often targets of far-right violence rather than perpetrators of it.
I know it's important to approach interpretations of behaviour with sensitivity, especially concerning neurodiversity, but the scrutiny surrounding Elon Musk isn't solely about social misunderstandings. His recent public gesture resembling a salute, followed by attending and speaking at an AfD event, raises legitimate concerns. The AfD has been criticised for its far-right positions and has faced accusations of using Nazi symbolism in its campaigns. Bjorn Hocke went on trial for charges of using a Nazi-era phrase. These actions suggest a pattern that goes beyond mere social awkwardness.
Also current statistics indicate that Muslims constitute approximately 6.6% of Germany's population, with individuals of Turkish descent making up about 3.4%. These figures demonstrate that Germany remains predominantly non-Muslim and non-Turkish.
Thank you. It used to be considered a rhetorical forfeit when a comparison to Hitler was made. Now, it is regularly used as a rhetorical Ex Calibur: "What do you expect from a man who makes Hitler look calm and measured?" (I wrote trump card first, but I just couldn't do it.)
Likewise, "Constitutional Crisis" has been relentlessly abused and misused.
You are in my top 10 list of the people I would most like to (but never will) have a long discussion with over a sumptuous meal. (Let me know if you are in the Milwaukee - Chicago corridor and at loose ends some evening.)
I wish the voice SubStack uses to read this to me was your voice. It would increase the pleasure of listening exponentially.
I thought you were joking about "Fartcoin," but it's real, one of those Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). It's pretty volatile, like the gaseous emission it's named after. It's gone from $0.61 to $0.49 in less than 24 hrs.
It's an outrage!
And I guess the only people who could logically use the expression "lived experience" without being redundant are vampires or zombies or other versions of the undead I may not be familiar with. But are vampires and zombies "people" or "things"?
The time will come Francis, everything ends and so does retardation, you’re good at saying what you think, you just need to say it to their face, and all is fucking well in the deep dark woods.
I think outrage is what happens when populists spend years stoking nonsense culture wars, and everyone feels they need to have an opinion on absolutely every issue, especially ones they know absolutely nothing about, such as the statistically unlikely occurrence of a trans person in your toilet, or women’s boxing, or immigration, or Musk trying to understand federal government finances.
The far bigger concern is the inability of many, yourself included, who seem to have grown up without learning to spot obvious arseholes who shouldn’t be anywhere near a position of power. The bloated orange buffoon literally looks and acts like the pantomime villain in an 80s kids movie, and the greasy sex offender in charge of Defence is literally a greasy sex offender.
Many were radicalised to believe any old bollocks, such as the examples you listed, and/or are on the grift like Francis and his idiotic podcast buddy.

Great work again, Francis. I always look forward to your articles: you have the gift of making a gloomy topic palatable.

First rate humor, brother! Keep up the good work.

Ohh this was brilliant. You said what I wanted to say in a recent post but didn't have the guts so I hid behind humor. Well done!
But Trump!! And yes, I'm a democrat.
This last bit should be a clip…

Not giving a fuck is a wonderful thing
See you around my man
